She was born in Limestone County to David and Lurlean B. Long on October 5, 1941.
Mrs. Bassham was a lifelong resident of Limestone County, a member of Craig’s Chapel Church of Christ, and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bassham is survived by her husband, Donald Bassham of Lester; Daughters: Pam Griggs and husband, Bradley of Athens, and Pat Gibbons of Pulaski, TN.; Mother: Lurlean Long of Limestone County. Three grandchildren: Dustin and Andrea Griggs, Nichole Watkins; One Great-grandchild: Lexi McClure.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Randy Carter officiating. Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bradley Griggs, Dustin Griggs, Roger Dodd, Max Smith, Douglas Bassham and Kenneth Gwaltney. |
