KENNETH BLYTHE
Co-Owner, Alabama Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Co-Owner of Limestone Chapel Funeral Home is a licensed embalmer and Funeral Director. Currently serves as District I Director for the Alabama Funeral Directors Association. Also serves on various committees with Alabama Funeral Directors Association. A member of the Independent Funeral Group and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association. Married to Rhonda Blythe of Athens and have two children, Kenneth Blythe II and Brigette Miller of Athens, AL and one granddaughter: Briley Kate Miller.

LANCE DAVIS
Co-Owner
Lance holds a BS Degree in Accounting from Athens State University. He received his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1994. Lance is the managing member of the the accounting firm Davis & Cole, LLP.
He joined Kenny Blythe, Jimmy Stroud and Mike Davis in acquiring Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in 2005. He serves as the finanical officer of the company.
In his spare time, he has served as Head Basketball Coach at Athens Bible School.
Lance is married to April Davis and has two children, Mackenzie and Luke.
Member of the Elm Street Church.

MIKE DAVIS
Co-Owner
In the fall of 1971, Davis began his education career at Ardmore High School. In 1982, Davis began his career in Limestone County politics. He was elected to the Office of Probate Judge of Limestone County and currently serving in his fifth term.
In 2005, the former teacher and current probate judge joined his son, Lance Davis, Kenny Blythe and Jimmy Stroud and acquired Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Davis said, “It is a distinct pleasure to be associated with the professional staff at Limestone Chapel."
Davis was married to the former Sandra White Davis for 32 years until her death in 2001. Davis is currently married to Denise Doss Davis and between the two have five children: Lance Davis, Davis & Cole, LLP, who is married to the former April Melvin (children: Mackenzie and Luke); Dr. Chad Davis, Davis EyeCare, who is married to the former Brandy Fleming (children: Kyle, Jenna and Katelyn); Kristi Miles, a pharmaceutical sales representative, who is married to Jake Miles (children: Cade and Cole); Wes Coleman, a graduate student at the University of North Alabama; and Mary Ellen Coleman, a student at the University of Alabama.
He is the proud “Pop” of seven grandchildren.
Davis is a Christian.

JIMMY STROUD
Co-Owner, Alabama Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Stroud's career in the funeral home industry began at the age of sixteen. Since 1976, Stroud has been an Alabama licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a member of the National Funeral Director Association, Alabama Funeral Director Association and the American Embalmers Association. Stroud current holds an Alabama license to sell pre-need funerals.
He is married to Mary Stroud and they both have five children and eight grandchildren.
Member of the West Hobbs Street Church of Christ.

JOE DON BAILEY
Alabama Licensed Funeral Director, Pre-Need Specialist
Born and raised in Alabama, Joe Don has been in the Insurance Industry for 50 years and in the Funeral and Pre-need sales for the last 10 years. He holds a Alabama Insurance License and a Alabama Funeral Director’s License.
He is married to Candy (Rowe) Bailey and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Member of the Central Church of Christ.

DENNIS CRAIG
Alabama Licensed Funeral Director
Dennis is a native of Limestone County. In 1984, he became a licensed Alabama Funeral Director. He has worked in the funeral industry for 36 years.
Dennis is married to Beverly Ann Spain Craig of Hartselle, AL. They have three children and four grandchildren. He is a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Madison, AL. |

PAM ADAMS DAVIS
Funeral Director Apprentice
Pam Adams Davis is a native of Limestone County. Previously, she worked in the retail industry in sales and management for 22 years. Pam has a son, Jeremy Lynn Davis, and wife, Emily, and three grandsons, Matthew, Gavin and Jordan. Also, Pam enjoys making jewelry and the outdoors.
Pam has worked in all aspects of the funeral industry for six years, and she is working on her apprenticeship as a Funeral Director. |

GREG GREENE
Alabama and Tennessee Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Greg Greene has been a lifelong resident of Athens, AL.
Greg retired from Delphi / General Motors after 30 years of services. He then started Greene Removal Service and help service the Funeral Homes in the North Alabama Area. After eight months, he sold the company and had the opportunity to attend Calhoun Community College and then in August 2007 transferred to John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, Tennessee. Graduated in December 2008. He is licensed as Funeral Director and Embalmer in Alabama and Tennessee. He is also a member of the Alabama Funeral Director Association and Member of the Tennessee Funeral Directors and Morticians Association.
Greg is married to Selina Tarpley Greene of Athens and they have two children, Sabrina Strain of Tanner and Coty Greene of Athens.Greg also has his first Grandchild, Hadley Anne Strain.
Greg attends Madison Street Baptist in Athens.

JERRY LAMAR
Alabama Licensed Funeral Director
Jerry was born and raised in Alabama. He retired from Dunlop Tire, and has been in the Funeral Industry since 1961, and holds an Alabama Funeral Director’s License.
He is a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Jerry is married to Nancy Lamar.

DENISE DAVIS
Office Assistant
Denise is a novice in the funeral industry. She is a part-time support staff employee. Growing up in the Birmingham Area, Denise has been in Athens for 26 years. Previously, Denise worked in various office positions along with raising a family. She has been in Athens for 26 years.
Denise is married to Mike Davis. Together they have five children: Wes and Mary Ellen Coleman, Lance (April) Davis, Chad (Brandy) Davis, and Kristi Davis Miles (Jake); and, seven grandchildren: Kyle, Mackenzie, Jenna, Luke, Cade, Katelyn and Cole.

GARY A. TAYLOR
Support Staff
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. High school graduate with almost 2 years of college. Retired from Federal Service (military & civilian) with combined total of over 37 years of service. Served in capacities such as International Logistics Management Specialist/International Program Manager (i.e.-- managed two high emphasis programs for AMCOM at Redstone Arsenal, AL until retirement).
Vietnam War Veteran (1969/1970) -- U.S. Army.
Served over 3 years as an Academy trained Special Police Officer in a New Jersey township in the late 1980s; then, moved from New Jersey to Athens, Alabama in July 1988 with wife (Maria); sons Anthony (now 34) & James (32) and daughter Rebecca (24). Daughter is married with 2 little girls Katherine Mariani Sontay (5 yrs.) and Haylie Maleia Sontay (18 mos).
Member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Athens and a life member of the Athens-Limestone Chapter 511, Vietnam Veterans of America.
Joined the Limestone Chapel team the 2nd week of June 2010 to serve and assist with visitations and funerals. |

BETH SPANN

Beth (Pepper) Spann, a native of Elkmont and Athens, Alabama has enjoyed a career as a homemaker and with husband Chris has raised three children, Bethany (Mrs. Ezra Barnett), Brady Spann and Luke Spann. Two grandchildren, Noah and Sarabeth Barnett are their Naney's pride and joy. Beth is an active member of Bethel Church of Christ. |
